Safeguarding & Conduct
Practical expectations for safe, respectful participation.
Updated 30 October 2026 · Website policy
Before attending an activity
Confirm the activity, role, coordinator and supervision arrangements first. Do not independently announce events or represent yourself as authorised by the foundation. These expectations do not imply that background-check systems or a formal safeguarding officer are already in place.
Respect and boundaries
Treat everyone with dignity. Do not harass, discriminate, threaten, solicit money, exploit relationships or use private participant information for personal contact. Avoid unsupervised one-to-one contact with children and follow the activity’s agreed supervision arrangements.
Images and personal information
Ask permission before photographing or recording. For children, obtain appropriate guardian permission and follow safeguarding guidance. Do not publish full names, home addresses, school identifiers, phone numbers or sensitive circumstances. Do not pressure anyone to appear in a photo as a condition of receiving help.
Reporting a concern
Stop an unsafe activity and inform the responsible coordinator. Report concerns through the grievance contact without broadcasting personal information in public groups. The website mailbox is not an emergency service; seek immediate assistance from local emergency services when someone is in immediate danger.
Handling concerns
Concerns should be assessed fairly, information shared only with people who need it, and participation paused where necessary to protect people. Do not promise absolute confidentiality where information may need to be disclosed for safety or applicable legal obligations.
